Tuesday, June 17 - Wednesday, June 18 World Bowl Introductory Bowling Coaching Techniques

2 Day Session
Dick Ritger and Bob Rea join forces to prepare the new manager and center staff to assist the youth and casual bowler with bowling tips and techniques for a more fun- filled experience. New to the industry an Adaptive Needs Program for bowlers with life-altering injuries. Youth instruction, from ages 5-15, for use in the bowling center or in other military youth programs presented as a building block for continued youth instruction. Coaching basics using the Fun Tips Program target the casual open bowler. Skills and techniques provided for Wounded Warriors and their Families, with life-altering injuries. Introduction to Dick Ritger, Level I coaching training, basic drills. Certification: Army, Level I, Air Force Continuing Education, Open to other Services on space available basis
Tuesday, June 17 - Friday, June 20 International Plaza Resort & Spa Advanced Management-Brunswick Winning Series

3 1/2 Day Session 8am-5pm
This class will combine the Brunswick Winning Series with additional training in programs, customer service & operations. First day will start at 1pm, all other days will be 8am-5pm. Certification: Air Force Continuing Silver, Army Continuing Education I & II, Open to other Services
Wednesday, June 18 - Friday, June 20 International Plaza Resort & Spa Facility & Equipment Management
8am-5pm
3 Day Session
A three day workshop packed full of techniques for management of the overall facility, both in front and back of the house. Housekeeping, safety, HVAC systems, energy management, lane evaluation and maintenance, bowling equipment (both Brunswick and QAMF), and management of mechanical staff will be covered. Whether you do the maintenance/mechanical work in the center or supervise the mechanical staff, this class is for you. Certification: Army Level I, Air Force Silver, Open to other Services
Coaching Clinic
12pm-5pm
2 1/2 Day Session at World Bowl 8am-5pm
The first of three levels of certification offered by industry veteran, Dick Ritger. Attendee's will be participating in both the Level l and Level II. If already Level I & II, Level III can be received by attending this class. First day will start at 12pm, all other days will be 8am-5pm. The class is limited to the first 40 registrants. Certification: Army Level II, Air Force Silver, Open to other Services
Thursday, June 19 - Friday, June 20 International Plaza Resort & Spa Introductory Pro Shop Operations - $50 fee
8am-5pm
Classroom discussion covers the pro shop image, merchandising, inventory, and marketing. Learn how service work can equal big profits, and reconditioned (old) bowling balls are in demand for the frugal not-so-serious bowler. This fast paced hands-on workshop includes ball fitting, layout, drilling, and the basics of ball repair. Meeting USBC specifications and a basic understanding of ball dynamics will be taught. Students should come prepared for two fun-filled days of learning. Casual clothing recommended. Certification: Army, Level I, Air Force Silver, Open to other Services on space available basis
Advanced Lane Maintenance
8am-5pm
This class, taught by Kegel at their facility, includes basic machine usage and in-depth lane patterns. Transportation will be provided by Kegel. Class is limited to 30

Individual Service Meetings

In these sessions the service program managers will discuss current and future programs and initiatives, plus provide managers with an update on the status of the program. These sessions are also a forum for managers to voice their concerns and recommendations.

1 Day Session
Session covers new features associated with the RecTrac 10.1 release that is currently being fielded across the Army. Topics include such things as Touch POS efficiency changes and electronic payment integration. A review of Chase Paymentech, the new credit card, debit card, eCheck, gift card, and loyalty card options and how they impact your bowling center. A question and answer forum allows managers to present any current issues. Certification: Army Continuing Education, Level I & II

2 Day Session Prerequisite: Managers must have completed IBPSIA’s HOTS class or given an exception through individual Service Manager. Topics covered: The science behind ball reaction; Choosing the right ball for the right customer; Top weight, pin in/pin out, how they affect ball reaction; How to control track flare. Managers are encouraged to bring individual layout, fitting, or drilling challenges for class discussion. Certification: Army Level II, Air Force Gold, Open to other Services on space available basis

This comprehensive program will cover examining specifics for gutter depths, crosswise tilts and surface depressions as well as the basics of checking lane- dressing distributions through tape pick-up devices. Learn more about your lanes and verify repair work and lane dressing applications. This workshop fills quickly and space is limited, be sure to sign up early. Certification: Army, Level I, Air Force Continuing Education, Open to other Services
Official Attendance Policy for International Bowl Expo 2008:
To protect companies that have paid to exhibit during the trade show, and to ensure that only qualified persons attend the show, BPAA has adopted the following attendance policy for International Bowl Expo:
Attendance at International Bowl Expo is open to any owner/operator (or their representative) of a bowling center, billiard center, or pro shop. Manufacturers, suppliers, or distributors that do not own/operate (or are the designated representative of) a bowling center, billiard center, or pro shop must purchase an exhibit booth to participate in International Bowl Expo. Children 12 years old or younger are admitted free to the following International Bowl Expo events when accompanied by a registered adult:

Please remember VIP coupons may not be used with Military Full registration or Military Trade Show Only passes, as these fees are already at or below the coupon discounted rates.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations must be made in writing. Refunds will be given prior to May 23, 2008.
Show management must approve all exceptions to the above policies.

Reservation Procedures:
The Military Training Program attendees are to call Reservations office at 1.800.327.0363 & identify themselves as attendees of International Bowl Expo. All hotel charges including guestroom tax, hotel service fees, and incidental charges will be the responsibility of the attendee.
Cancellations:
Cancellations on individual room reservations will be accepted up to 48 hours prior to the checkin time of 4 p.m. on the scheduled date of arrival with no penalty fee. However, any individual who cancels their reservation after this cutoff will be responsible for one night’s room & room tax.
